Picasso’s Barcelona

Barcelona’s role in converting student into master

We travel back to the end of the 19th C and the arrival of Picasso and his family in the city of Barcelona. We discover the places where he worked, rested and played during his formative years and transport ourselves back to the city of opportunities that propelled Picasso into the limelight.  We then visit the world’s first Picasso museum, promoted by the artist himself in the town he called home in Spain.

Starting in the present day, we use the illustrious Paseo de Gracia boulevard as a guiding line to travel back through the key periods of the city’s history. Known locally as a mountain, Montjuïc hill commands views over both the city and the sea and hosts a plethora of interesting sights.
